This policy explains how Resalewy (resalewy.com) uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control your preferences. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, and complies with Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 as well as international best practices aligned with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. What cookies are
Cookies are very small text files saved by your browser on your device (phone or computer) when you visit a website. Their main functions are to:
- Remember your preferences (site language, dark mode).
- Maintain your login session if you are signed in.
- Measure visitor behaviour to improve the site.
- Personalise ads and measure their results.
We also use similar technologies such as browser local storage (localStorage / sessionStorage), marketing pixel tags, and device identifiers where applicable. This policy applies equally to all of them.
2. The four cookie categories we use
a) Strictly Necessary
These cookies are required to run the site. You cannot disable them because the site will not function without them. They do not require your consent under Article 5 of Law 151/2020 (necessary processing for performing a contract or pre-contractual steps).
| Cookie name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|

resalewy-csrf | Protects forms against CSRF attacks | Session |
resalewy-session | Maintains the secure browsing session | Session |
resalewy-consent | Stores your cookie preferences | 12 months |
b) Functional
These improve your experience but are not strictly necessary. They are enabled by default, and you can disable them from the cookie banner.

3. How to control your preferences
a) The on-site cookie banner
On your first visit, a banner appears at the bottom of the page giving you three options:
- Accept all — enable all categories.
- Reject non-essential — keep only strictly necessary cookies on.
- Customise — toggle each category individually.
Your choice is stored for 12 months, and you can change it at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer.
b) Browser settings
Every browser lets you:
- Review and delete stored cookies individually or all at once.
- Block sites from storing new cookies.
- Use private / incognito browsing mode.
Quick instructions:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
c) Third-party opt-out tools
- Google Ads: https://adssettings.google.com
- Meta: https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences
- Do Not Track setting in your browser (we honour it for analytics).
4. Third-party cookies
When you interact with content embedded from third parties (e.g., YouTube videos, Google Maps, or Meta forms), those providers may set their own cookies. We do not control these cookies, and they are subject to each provider's privacy policy:
- Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Meta: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy
- YouTube: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy
5. Cookie retention periods
- Session cookies: deleted as soon as you close the browser.
- Persistent cookies: remain for the duration shown in the tables above, or until you delete them manually.
We review these durations annually and may shorten them if we determine they are longer than necessary for the purpose.
6. Changes to this policy
We may amend the cookie list whenever we add or remove a service. Every material change appears with an updated "last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes to the analytics or marketing categories will be re-presented in the cookie banner for you to re-confirm consent.
